Rena Sherel SOFER
Rena Sherel SOFER is an American actress
from the United States. Her performances include daytime television as well as
episodic guest performances as well as TV-produced movies. Sofer received an
Daytime Emmy Award in 1995 in her role as Lois Cerullo on the soap show General
Hospital. She has been portraying Quinn Fuller since 2013 on CBS The Bold and
the Beautiful, a soap opera The Bold and The Beautiful. Sofer was born in
Arcadia, California, the daughter of Susan Sofer, a psychology professor and
Martin Sofer, a Conservative Rabbi. The family moved later to Pittsburgh in
Pennsylvania. Sofer later moved together with her father David, to Teaneck, New
Jersey in 1970. But, Sofer lived in Western Pennsylvania when she was a kid.
They resided in Ambridge, Pennsylvania, where her father ran the Beth Samuels
Jewish Center. She attended the Frisch School, an coeducational Mordern
Orthodox Jewish highschool in Paramus (New Jersey). Sofer lived in North
Bergen, New Jersey and her father was the synagogue's Rabbi Temple Beth El.
After finishing her studies at North Bergen High School she was a student at
Montclair State College. Sofer was the first actress to be a Lois Marie Cerullo
at General Hospital. In 1993, she worked as a band manager. Her first major
role was that of Rocky McKenzie in the daytime soap drama Loving (1988-91). Her
most famous role is her character on General Hospital as Lois Cerullo (December
15, 1993 – September 24 1996). She later returned as guest actor (February 7-17
in 1997; September 30 - October 2, 1997). In 1995, Sofer won a Daytime Emmy
Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in an Drama Series for her performance
as Lois. Sofer was asked to be a part of CBS the soap opera The Bold and the
Beautiful in the new role as Quinn Fuller. Her first episode aired on the 12th
of July. Sofer has been featured in a variety of popular prime-time television
shows as a supporting cast member or guest star rolesincluding Seinfeld,
Melrose Place, The Chronicle, Ed, Friends, Spin City, Blind Justice, Ghost
Whisperer, 24, NCIS, and Two and a Half Men.
