Rachel Emily Nichols

Rachel Emily Nichols was born in Augusta, Maine, the daughter of Alison and James Nichols, a schoolteacher. She is of French Canadian and English descent. Cony High School was her high school in Augusta. She graduated from the school with a diploma in math and a high jump that was competitive. She was a student at Columbia University in New York City and eventually completed a double major in economics and math. She started modeling and launched her career in the industry with work for a variety of high-profile brands like Guess?, Abercrombie & Fitch and L'Oreal. Rachel began her transition into acting when she was offered a part on the HBO comedy Sex and the City (1998). Her first film appearance was as Jessica Matthews in Dumb and Dumberer: How Harry Met Lloyd (2003). Her success continued through appearances in such films as The Amityville Horror (2005), The Inside (2005), Alias (2001), G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra (2009), Criminal Minds (2005) (a regular part as FBI Agent Ashley Seaver) and Conan the Barbarian (2011). Columbia University, where she graduated with a double degree in economics and math, was her main role in the role of Kiera Cameron (police officer) on the science-fiction series Continuum (2012). Modeled for Guess? and Abercrombie & Fitch as well as L'Oreal, Nicole Miller, and L'Oreal. Her first audition was for a hostess in a restaurant for Sex and the City (1998).
