Jillian Noel Hennessy

Jillian Noel Hennessy was born on November 25, 1968. She is a Canadian actress, singer and musician. Her most well-known roles are in American television shows Law & Order (where she played Claire Kincaid, a prosecutor) and Crossing Jordan (where she played Jordan Cavanaugh for six seasons). She was also a part of films such as RoboCop 3 & Most Wanted as well as independent film Chutney Popcorn & The Acting Class. The film was directed and written by her. Hennessy was born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta. John Hennessy, her father, was a meat-salesman and an executive in marketing and sales. His work required a lot of travel, which led to numerous moves for the entire family. Maxine, Maxine's secretary mother had to leave the family in 1982. Eleanor, Eleanor's paternal grandmother, took care of her daughter, who lived in Kitchener. She has a younger brother, John Paul "J.P." Hennessy, Jr., and an identical twin sister named Jacqueline She is an editor for magazines and a TV host in Canada. Hennessy is from Irish, French and Swedish descent, with some Ukrainian Roma and Austrian ancestry. After graduation from Grand River Collegiate Institute (both in Kitchener) She then was a student at Stanley Park Senior Public School. She also worked in the Toronto subway. Hennessy and her sister were among the first to appear as twin call girls on 1988's Dead Ringers. The actress was nominated to play Dana Scully on The X-Files according to Gillian Anderson, the actress who eventually got the role.She appeared in Broadway in the musical Buddy the Musical - The Buddy Holly Story in 1990.In 1993, she appeared as Dr. Marie Lazarus in RoboCop 3.In 1993, Dick Wolf signed Hennessy as assistant district attorney Claire Kincaid in the NBC crime drama Law & Order. The show ran for three seasons. She left the show in 1996.
