Kari Matchett Biography

Kari Matchett (Canadian actress) is famous for her role in films such as Apartment Hunting' and Men with Brooms'. She was born in Spalding and graduated from the high school in Alberta. As a teenager she began to become attracted to acting. She attended Montreal's National Theatre School to continue her acting training. In Moscow, she was also enrolled in the Moscow Theatre School. Her first appearance on television came in the year 1996 as a support part in the Canadian show called "The Rez.' In 1996, she was a supporting role in the Canadian series titled "The Rez.' In the late 90s, she also made her film debut in the film called Papertrail. In the following years, she acted in movies like "Men with Brooms" and 'Cypher. She also played a supporting role in shows such as "A Nero Wolfe Mystery and 'Blue Murder. She was also in film throughout the early 2000s, however her appearances on film were much less than the TV roles she played. In 1998, she also played the lead role as "Colleen Blessed" in the Canadian drama series 'Power Play.' The show ran for two seasons and 26 episodes, and was highly praised by critics as well as advertisers. Her role in the series earned her a 'Gemini Award. Jude Lyon Matchett became her first child in June 2013. She did not disclose the name of the father of her son however. According to certain sources, the father of her son was her ex-boyfriend. Kari Matchett met T.W. Peacocke met Kari Matchett around the mid-1990s. They began dating and got married in 1998. The couple separated in the year 2006.
